In Netherlands we can buy salted dried codfish from Suriname and Indonesia shops.

- 500 grams of cod fish;
- 500 g potatoes;
- 3 onions;
- 2 clove garlic;
- 1 bay leaf;
- 4 boiled eggs;
- 1.5 dl olive oil;
- black olives;
- Parsley, paprika powder, piri-piri, salt and pepper to taste

- Boil the cod fish filets for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water for some minutes to take the salt away. Save it for later.
- Peel the potatoes and slice them in quarters. Boil the potatoes and the eggs.
- Meanwhile, cut the onions and garlic clove sliced and let it brown lightly with the olive oil. Stir slightly and let some minutes in low fire.
- Add the bay leaf and salt, pepper, piri piri and paprika to taste.
- Then, add the cod fish and stir slightly again.
- Add the boil potatoes and the minced parsley. Stir for some minutes and serve.
- When serving the dish, adorned with slices of boiled egg and black olives.
The original recipe the potatoes were boiled with the skin and after boiled they were peeled. If you don't mind to have some extra work, do it. The meal will be even tastier.
Note: If you are on a diet or want to watch your weigh, you can accompanied this meal with salade or long beans and eating a small portion of the meal. This meal is not heavy caloric if you use good olive oil and don't eat too many potatoes.
